Founded by Mujeeb Ahmed, a PMP, IPMA Level C Certified Project Manager, Chartered Engineer, M.Tech and MBA, the company combines the agility of a modern contractor with the governance and execution discipline of a large corporate organization. Mujeeb brings 28+ years of industry experience, including 20+ years of corporate leadership in Projects, Procurement and Maintenance with leading organizations, where he successfully led large-scale, multi-location capital projects across India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
Driven by the Make in India vision and recognized by the Government of India under the Startup India initiative, Stars & Merit operates with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified management systems, supported by strong statutory and regulatory compliance, technology-enabled project controls, and a dedicated post-handover DLP & maintenance team.
Mujeeb Ahmed — Founder & Managing Director
Mujeeb Ahmed is the Founder & Managing Director of Stars & Merit Constructions & Engineering Pvt. Ltd. He is a seasoned Project Management Professional with over 28 years of cross-functional experience in engineering, construction, procurement, maintenance, and capital project delivery across greenfield and brownfield developments.
Academically, he holds an M.Tech and MBA, and is a PMP (Project Management Professional), IPMA Level C Certified Project Manager, and Chartered Engineer. His strong technical foundation, combined with strategic business acumen and leadership, enables him to successfully deliver complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Prior to founding Stars & Merit in 2018, Mujeeb built an accomplished corporate career spanning over 22 years, holding leadership positions with renowned organizations including Polaris Software, Future Group, and Jubilant FoodWorks Limited. In his last corporate role as Vice President – Projects, Procurement & Maintenance at Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, he was responsible for leading capital projects, procurement, engineering, and maintenance across India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
He has also led several international assignments in Project Management, SAP-enabled business transformation, and process optimization — valuable global exposure to project governance, digital transformation, and operational excellence.
Inspired by the discipline, integrity, and values instilled by his father, an ex-Army officer, Mujeeb established Stars & Merit in 2018 with a vision to bring the governance, engineering discipline, and execution excellence of leading corporate organizations to the construction and contracting industry.
